After starting a real estate career in sales then progressing into management with a major franchise group in Auckland in 1991, Rosie went on to gain her AREINZ (licensee) qualifications in 1997.
She moved to Taupo in 1997 and set up a Taupo office with the same franchise group with new business partner Tony Hay in June 1998. The business soon flourished with their fresh marketing approach and the Taupo office became the Top national office by 2000; Their top salesperson, Austin Harris joined the partnership in 2005 and their business flourished and retained the top office accolade until 2010 when the office changed direction with its franchise brand.
The Taupo office joined the Harcourts Group in November 2011, an exciting move for the company as Harcourts are dominating the New Zealand real estate market, along with strong growth in Australia and many other countries of the world. Since 2003, when Rosie gained her Auctioneers licence, she has enjoyed calling auctions on a regular basis and really enjoys the interaction with home owners and buyers.
She has always been an avid believer in the auction process being the most proactive method of selling in any market. Rosie feels her experience in this area is a useful addition to her "hands on" management style..
